Proposed itinerary

1 night in Rishikesh, yoga capital of India. River rafting, visit Neer waterfall, Himalaya hikes, temples.

6 nights in Phool Chatti ashram Rishikesh, on the banks of the Ganga river to do a fundamental Yoga course with hatha, chanting, breathing techniques, yoga philosophy and meditation. You will receive a certificate on completion of the course.

1 night in Delhi on route to Jaipur.

2 nights in Jaipur Amber Fort, Monkey Temple, Pink City with 7 gates, Hava Mahal, floating palace and step well.

2 nights in Agra Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri – abandoned city on the hill, Agra Fort.

Domestic flight from Delhi to Dharamshala in the Himalayas, home of the Dalai Lama.

4 nights in Bhagsu, Dharamshala, do yoga in Shivam’s ashram in the Bhagsu mountains, climb up to the base camp of Mt Triund in the Himalayas, visit mineral baths, meet Tibetan monks in exile, or just hang around this beautiful mountain town with lots of fresh air. Good shopping in Bhagsu and McLeod Ganj – beautiful hand-knitted garments, leather, Tibetan singing bowls, ornaments. Come taste the world famous Bhagsu cake at Singh Corner!

1 night in Amritsar to see the spectacular Golden Palace.

Explore Delhi, depending on flight schedule. Lotus Temple, Quitab Minar.

Depart Delhi 24 Oct, arrive OR Thambo 25 Oct


All activities are optional, you don’t have to be a yoga fundi to enjoy this trip.


Cost: R 17 000.00 (E1050) incl all accommodation, yoga course in ashram, transfers to destinations, all meals in ashram.

Not included: All Airfares, local transport, activities of your choice like river rafting on Ganga (E24), Himalaya trekking with guide (E40), yoga classes outside ashram (E4 – E5), all meals outside of ashram (E5 – E10 / day, depending on what you eat), drinking water.
